Western Addition
A diverse mix of long-time and newer residents live in this large, soulful neighborhood. Some of the city’s oldest Victorians—survivors of the 1906 earthquake and fire—are also located in the Western Addition. Like the neighboring Fillmore District, the area is a haven for live music fans, whether your tastes run to jazz, indie rock or something in between. Local nightclubs include the Boom-Boom Room, Fillmore West and Yoshi’s.
